Wordpress is continuing its tradition of releasing new and new versions every week. And that creates a headache for bloggers who has to pass through an ordeal of upgrading their blog and sometimes breaks their blog. 
A new version v 2.6.1 is available for download which includes nothing new but over 60 bug fixes. If you are already on 2.6, there is no need to upgrade. Wait for future release v 2.7 which will be big as I think so 
You can upgrade your blog by manually replacing files via FTP or you can use Automatic wordpress upgrade plugin. If your fantastico is update with the latest version, you can use that too. OR you can hire a programmer like me to upgrade it. Wordpress themes remain compatible with the newer version - so no worry.
